Bill Iosco and his son, also named Bill, each began working with their dad at age ten, first by hanging around doing the work of a youngster but soon taking on much bigger tasks. “Billy was running a 350 JD bulldozer at 14, doing excavations for me,” says Bill Sr. today of his son Bill, now nearing thirty. “He did a great job until going off to R.I.T. after high school.” It wasn’t the last time the father and son team would work together.
Today the pair continue a tradition begun in 1955 by Henry Iosco, who started “Construction by Iosco” by building store fronts in the 1950s. Since 2001 both Bill Sr. and Bill Jr. have been working together and primarily focusing on carpentry and home additions and renovations — though their skills span virtually all construction trades.
A LEGACY OF SUPERIOR QUALITY
“The advantage of having learned from my father, a true craftsman of his generation, was that I learned how to do a wide range of things the right way,” Bill Sr. says today. Most of all, says Bill, his dad inspired fairness and integrity of work.
“My dad always taught me to give our customers the best we have to offer in terms of good, honest workmanship at a fair price,” says Bill Sr., “and we’ve always stuck to that and today our business is based 99% on customer referrals.”

The decision to build a website was about showing the work of which they’re quite proud. “Maybe it will help someone see that we really take great pride in our work, which is something nearly lost in today’s world,” says Bill Jr. “And hopefully people can see how we’ve handled large projects from beginning to end - - such a great advantage to homeowners looking for the efficiency and accountability that comes with our reputation,” added Bill Sr.
